Our Story
Our story began in a world of modern dating—a swipe to the right that sparked a connection. Ting and Victor crossed paths on Tinder, drawn to each other’s quirky profiles and intrigued by the potential for something special. We spent weeks talking to each other, growing in frequency with each passing conversation, eventually leading to us finally meeting.
As our conversations unfolded, it became clear that we shared a genuine interest in getting to know each other. We quickly discovered a natural chemistry, as if we had been friends for years. We arranged to meet in person at a cozy bar, Sake Bar Decibel, nestled in the heart of New York City. We talked about our travels, with a particular focus on food, our experiences moving around the country, and the little quirks that made us who we were. After finishing a cold bottle of Sake, and with our late night munchies growing by the minute, we eventually made our way to a local hotpot joint, 99 Favor Taste. The evening turned into a night that we would remember forever. From there it blossomed. We spent more time together, exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and creating memories.
While Victor moved to San Francisco shortly after meeting Ting, we kept coming back to one another. We would FaceTime for hours almost every evening and Ting would make regular trips out to California to visit. And finally, on April 27, 2017, we decided to take the next step together.
